One a (week)day: Day 73 – Remember

Piece number 73 (04/27/07). Today’s piece is based on the theme from Illustration Friday of ‘remember’. Memories of things were popping into my head and this image just stuck with me the longest. I could not decide which blue I wanted to use for the record, so I just decided to do the whole thing in blue.

One a (week)day: Day 72 – Good v. Evil

Piece number 72 (04/26/07). Well the second idea that came into my head for last week’s Illustration Friday topic was polar opposites and good versus evil. So today this popped back into my mind – when I came across a photo of a rubber ducky. Let me say my schedule is starting to get to me and I am REALLY looking forward to the upcoming weekend, I think my mood this evening is more like the ducky on the right.

One a (week)day: Day 71 – Lawnmower

Piece number 71 (04/25/07). Spring is in the air which means the grass is growing tall and needs to be mowed. My husband did a wonderful job mowing our grass this past weekend. I used to love in when the grass was being mowed when I was little – b/c of the lines the mowing made in the grass.

One a (week)day: Day 70 – Leafage

Piece number 70 (04/24/07). This was created based on the suggestion of leaves by computerarte. This is the plant that is growing by my parking space. It goes from this deep purple to bright green and is intricatly veined and the plant itself is fuzzy. I went to go out and take some better photos – but the bright sun we have had the past few days has baked it.

One a (week)day: Day 69 – Grape Hyacinth

Piece number 69 (04/23/07). This was created based on the suggestion of leaves by computerarte. This is loosely based on one of the suggestions. This plant fascinates me. I am working on something more leafy for tomorrow – it is something growing by my parking space which I think is pretty.

For the people complimenting me on my discipline, thank you. This is a labor of love – b/c there have been several days getting the energy to create a work is tough. I have a daily schedule loosely setup, and if I can’t get to the piece when I normally do, I sometimes get a bit frazzled – though it has got done! (except for when I fell asleep – I was super tired) I am have not gotten my schedule down – so I can work on these everyday as well as my larger pieces – which take a lot longer – though I am working on it.

One a (week)day: Day 68 – Polar(ity)

Piece number 68 (04/20/07). This was created based on the provided theme of ‘polar’ from Illustration Friday. When I saw the theme the first thing that popped into my mind was polarity and magnets. I kept going back to a polar bear – but went with my gut. This is definately a concept piece. I am so exhausted, so I will clean up the edges later.

One a (week)day: Day 67 – Pregnancy, week 16

Piece number 67 (04/19/07). This was again created for a suggested theme from Pequete (Pequete’s Art Journal). This is my sister at week 16, with my 2.5 year old niece – I am going to do a few of these along the way to document her pregnancy. This was a lot of fun to do, the hardest part was getting my niece to stay still long enough to snap a photo this evening.
computerarte look for your suggestions next week -been out snapping some photos for one them!
This one is not available for purchase.

One a (week)day: Day 66 – Grasshopper

Piece number 66 (04/18/07). This has been in the hopper for some time now. (Yes, the bad pun was intentional). I have not seen a grasshopper in a long time, though I remember seeing one of those HUGE ones when I was about 6 and being so terrified of it. This was one of those fuzzy memories that recently popped into my head.
I want to thank everyone for their suggestions and keep them coming. Look out for one more this week and the 2 other next week.

One a (week)day: Day 65 – Pug

Piece number 65 (04/17/07). This was again created for a suggested theme from Pequete (Pequete’s Art Journal) Look for another this week based on your submited themes. Keep them coming! This did not come out exactly how I imagined it – but I like it. It was a cold and windy day outside and using the fun colors helped to brighten things up a bit. I am a sucker for my neon papers!

–UPDATE (4/30/08)– Prints are currently on hold – having an issue with the printer. If you are interested in one send me an email and I will let you know when they are available again. Also I am posting this for Illustration Friday (week of 4/30/08), I thought it fit in with the theme of “Wrinkles” and I do not have the time to get a new piece done (sorry).
