One a (week)day: Day 109 - Moon

July 27, 2007

072707-moon.jpg

Piece number 109 (07/27/07). Today’s piece is based on the theme from Illustration Friday of “Moon”. This was a difficult subject for me. I had initially planned on doing a spacewalk, but my fear is that I did not have enough information to pull off a successful astronaut. So I was scrambling for a subject for over an hour. I have wanted to do an owl for some time, but a really cute one. This was a bit different technically than how I usually work - but I think that is what I am trying to get out of illustration friday, trying new things and thinking of other ways to work.

6″x 4″:: $45 unframed original piece, $75 framed original piece. Once the original sells, limited edition prints will be available at $25 (unframed)

–UPDATE– Original has been sold. A limited edition of 100 giclee prints are now available for $30 ($25 for the print and $5 for USPS Priority mail) INTL customers please email me for shipping costs. Also framing is available for an additional $30. All prints are on an art paper with a hand-cut signature.

Email for availability and payment directions or for more information.

the art

All my artwork is made of paper. It is only created using paper, glue, and patience. The works on this site represent the pieces that I am attempting to create each weekday. These pieces are available to purchase and once an original is sold prints will become available. Other work can be viewed on my main site - www.sagworks.com. Larger works are available to purchase as originals or prints through sagworks.com. I am also available for commissioned pieces.
