May 4, 2008 - Seed

May 4, 2008

{click for a larger image} 05/04/08. This piece is for the Illustration Friday theme of “seed”. This is the first thing which came to mind when I saw the theme so I went for it. I generally do not like cleaning peppers because the seeds tend to get everywhere - but I always marvel at the pepper construction - it has such an interesting inside. This was a lot of work to make the center portion - but I think it was worth it. I am again happy with the end result. I love it when things come out like they do in my mind (which does not happen as often as I like).

6″x 4″ :: $150 framed original piece. Email for availability and payment directions or for more information - like larger and more detailed images.

Oh I was just cutting peppers into my dinner salad! I also hate how the little seeds get everywhere, but the fruits were so yummy!

Did you take very long to do this? The details of the seed sure look like you put a lot of effort into this. Hope to see more of your works! :D

Your technique is very interesting. The contrast and composition is oh so nice. I like your use of bold flat colors. I’m adding you to my links so that I can find you again.

the art

All my artwork is made of paper. It is only created using paper, glue, and patience. The works on this site represent the pieces that I am attempting to create each weekday. These pieces are available to purchase and once an original is sold prints will become available. Other work can be viewed on my main site - www.sagworks.com. Larger works are available to purchase as originals or prints through sagworks.com. I am also available for commissioned pieces.
