Not a lot to show…. (07/02/08 – 07/05/08)
July 5, 2008
Well I finished this last commission. The pieces are setting to air out so I can frame them this week. I am quite happy with the end result. Other than that been doing a lot of the business end of things the past few days. Also my family was in town, so bee hanging out with them.
Though I did meet with a local writer and it looks like I will be part of his upcoming project about people who create with their hands. This might include a stop motion video of me creating a piece – so should be interesting. I need to figure out a good piece to do this with and get the ball rolling.
Also, I know it is a bit short notice, but my studio will be part of an open house tomorrow (06/06/08) as part of Greenbelt Community Center’s Artful Afternoon. The event runs from 1-5 and has activities for kids of all ages – including henna tattoos, making wire mobiles, and a performance of “Mutts Gone Nuts” show which include trained dogs as part of the show.
