Lotus has NOT been sold – original is still available

Due to a misunderstanding, it turns out Lotus has not been sold. The original is still available and prints are not until it does sell.

6″x 4″:: $75 framed original piece. Once the original sells, limited edition giclee prints will be available at $25 (unframed). This work is already framed, so it is only available that way and not available unframed.

Email for availability and payment directions or for more information.

10/27/08 – starting cutting the pinup

I spent several hours in the studio cutting. I cut until my hand started to ache – so I figured that was the best stopping point. I got a lot farther on it that I expected so no complaints. Not much is glued down yet and the positioning is off – but you get the idea.

Buddah: December 1991 – October 22, 2008

Sorry to have been absent the past few weeks. This has been very tough on me, but we lost my cat – Buddah on Wednesday. She was 17 and had acute renal failure – we only caught it a bit over a week ago. She was the same playful, bitchy cat one day and the next she was off. We took her to the ER and got the initial blood work, but were optimistic. Though her follow-up blood work was a lot worse and there was nothing we could do. She was my first pet and I knew this would be hard, but not this hard. I am going into the studio in the hopes it makes the sadness go away for a bit.

10-13-08: large work has began

So I drew out most of my large artwork. I am creating a 26″ x 32″ pinup portrait. This is from a wonderful photo of me taken by another wonderful photographer I know. Stacey Barich from Atomic Cheesecake Studios is an amazing pinup photographer in the Baltimore area. She took these photos last year of me and has agreed to let me create it in cut paper. I am hoping this proves successful and we can work together with some of her amazing models to make some more cool pieces.

I had wanted to make this work larger, but I hit a snag when it came to looking to see how big I can get framing supplies.

Today not as busy

Today was spent taking advantaage of the beautful laxy Sunday we had today. Wanted to take advantage of the glorious day – so I took a wondrful nap and made a really nice dinner. I did got into the studio and cut some signatures for some prints coming in soon.

I am getting a batch of 2 prints coming in this week – so if interested in a print of Rally Mini or Lionfish let me know. I also have a handful of other prints in stock. But If you are interested in a print please let me know. If I do not have it in stock I can order one. If you are interested in holiday gifts please plan early: if I have not ordered a proof yet it could take a month for your print to come in. So, if you are interested in something, but not sure, please let me know so I can make sure I have a proof that’s been approved. That will cut the delivery time down to 2 weeks.

Again with nothing to show you – here is another cool photo to check out.

the art

All my artwork is made of paper. It is only created using paper, glue, and patience. The works on this site represent the pieces that I am attempting to create each weekday. These pieces are available to purchase and once an original is sold prints will become available. Other work can be viewed on my main site - www.sagworks.com. Larger works are available to purchase as originals or prints through sagworks.com. I am also available for commissioned pieces.
