My community art project samples
October 3, 2008
So I worked up some sample lamps for my artful afternoon project next month on Nov. 2. So the left lamp is with coloring, the middle lamp is with cutting out shapes and glueing them on, and the last is knife cut work. These are all lit up with an industrial glow stick. They are pretty bright and it lasted at least 4 hours – thats when I feel sleep. The green is a bit creepy – need to find and test an industrial white glow stick. The green makes everything green, you can’t even see any of the pretty colors I used.

For different colored glow sticks, check out the $1 bins at Michael’s. They always have these black tubes full of like a dozen necklaces in assorted colors. My husband uses them when he goes surf fishing in the wee hours of the morning. He attaches them to the end of the fishing rod so he can tell when a fish is pulling on it in the dark. Anyway, whenever I’m in there I pick up another tube of glow sticks. Cool lanterns, by the way!
