103009 – Pinup8 Status

So my time in the studio was a  bit of waste – I was having serious issues concentrating. In the end I got very little done – only the tie on her nightie.

102909 – Framing and mat cutting

So this morning I fell down the stairs. I am sore, but OK. So I was not planning on going to the studio – but I knew I needed to get some work done.

So I got the work “Match” framed for the upcoming show “Paper” at the Montpelier Arts Center in Laurel, MD. (I’ll be posting info about this show and some others soon)

Since I had the mat cutter out I went and got mats cut for the two completed works for two people part of my facebook five. I don’t know if I’ll be matting the remaining ones -  it all depends on my mood to be honest. Though I know I wanted to mat the orange-breasted boobie b/c I wanted the mat as a diamond.

102809 – Pinup8 Status

Got the other shoe completed and her nightie. I was unsure as to how to do the lace up top – I did a few drawings of it and I liked this style the best. There are still modification needed to have her arm be mounted correctly – but this gives you an idea.

So I just wanted to post this picture, b/c I liked the angle. She looks like a giant….

102709-no cutting

Today I was busy doing work and the staring at the computer has tired my eyes – so no cutting for me today. Hopefully tomorrow!!!

102609 – Pinup8 status

So I got the skin completed, after having to change my skin color paper choice. I then started on some small details. I was not certain that the marabou would turn out right, but I am very happy with the outcome. After creating the first shoe, I got the pieces cut for the marabou on the second shoe. It’s using the same technique as shag carpeting – but this is a lot less painful.

So I got the drawing for this put together and most of the colors selected. As you can see I have a lot of colors missing.

{click image for a larger version} So I finally remembered to take my portfolio back to the studio and it was a clear day so I was able to bring this home from the studio to get it scanned in. Now I need to get Pinup8 ready to be started.

OK, so today I completed the commission. Sorry to say I still can’t show it to you – but I think it looks really good!

So this post is going to be a bit on the boring side. So today I worked on (and almost completed) a commission. Since the owners of this have not seen this yet – either will you. Though here is my color palette – yes they are all neons.
