092512 – Cheryl the go-go dancer

{click image for larger version} This is fifth work of this theme. Check out the larger image to see all the details. I modeled this after me. Being a 1960’s go-go dancer is something I’ve always wanted to do, ever since I first saw Laugh In and the Frankie and Annette movies. I am curvier than she is, but I can see myself in her. (yes I am brunette now). It kinda is like looking into a mirror for me.

If you have some great vintage photos in this pinup nature let me know – I’d love to see them!!!!

The work itself is  roughly 8″ x 10″.
Will probably got into a 16″ x 20″ or a 12″ x 16″ frame – not sure which yet.

the art

All my artwork is made of paper. It is only created using paper, glue, and patience. The works on this site represent the pieces that I am attempting to create each weekday. These pieces are available to purchase and once an original is sold prints will become available. Other work can be viewed on my main site - www.sagworks.com. Larger works are available to purchase as originals or prints through sagworks.com. I am also available for commissioned pieces.
