070713 – Little Bee Eater

{click image for larger version} This is sixth bird and he is a Little Bee Eater (Merops pusillus). I found this bird by doing an image search for a cute green bird. He is one of the smallest bee eaters. Check out the larger image to see all the details. I can not believe it, but it looks like it has been around 10 months since I created my last bird.

The work itself is  roughly 7″ x 5.5″ and will probably go into a 8″ x 10″ frame, maybe slightly larger || $325
for availability, pricing, payment directions, or for more information.

I am open to bird suggestions – for further pieces! I have a few more birds I am thinking of creating, but really would like suggestions on cool birds.

– The current roster of birds –

(from l to r) Blue Tit, Painted Bunting, Bluejay, Cardinal, Squiggle Bird (Kingfisher-esque)
